Living Arrows 41/52
Realising how much harder it is to actually have photos each week for Living Arrows has really brought it home to me recently how things have changed since I went back to working full time. Now, weekends are really the only family time we have and they go so quickly. It’s strange to think that weekends, and the odd week of leave here and there, are the only times we will have together from now on. Little B is getting on well at nursery and Seb and D are enjoying school (aside from the odd problem – D complained that someone licked her and Seb was told one day that his best friend ‘isn’t his friend any more’. They’re friends again now, of course).
Things are moving so fast and it’s really just sinking in that this is our life now.
So the weekends really have to count!
This weekend just gone, we were lucky to have one day of relaxing at home, and one funfilled day with friends of the family. Little B discovered the New Zealand toy favourite Buzzy Bee for the first time (for some reason the kids have never had one – I kept thinking a New Zealand relative would send them one so we never got one for them ourselves, but I guess everyone in NZ probably thought they already had one!). In any case, she loved taking Buzzy Bee for a walk, parading him up and down the hallway.
D had great fun playing ‘Queen of the Castle’ with her friend – the castle being a wooden stool.
And Seb was very happy to watch an exciting game of table football. It was so nice to see them all enjoying themselves with their friends, and to be able to sit and relax while they did. Now they are all getting older they make their own fun and while sometimes it feels a bit strange that they are becoming more independent, equally it is interesting to watch and see the things that they come up with!
