Random acts of kindness
There’s nothing quite like something unexpected arriving in the mail. Ripping open the package, wondering what’s inside…it’s a bit like Christmas only without the wrapping paper, turkey and tree.
Ever since I read the book ‘Pay It Forward’ several years ago I’ve thought that the concept was a really great idea…and so now, having seen the post on Adventures of a Yorkshire Mum‘s blog about the Random Acts of Kindness blog hop, I thought I’d really like to give it a go.
So…the first six people who comment on this blog will receive a surprise package in the post, sometime before the end of 2013. I won’t tell you what, or when – just that one day this year, the postman will bring you something nice you weren’t expecting.
Of course, there’s a catch. If you comment, you must also blog and promise to send something to as many people as you feel able to in order to pay the kindness forward.
It doesn’t have to be something big, or expensive, or bought. Clara, who originally started this blog hop, says: “This isn’t about money or extravagance, it could be anything from a handwritten letter to a knitted blanket or a doodle or favourite book…literally anything. The point is to think of others and spread a little unexpected happiness.”
Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
If you think so too, leave a comment and await your surprise delivery 🙂
(once you’ve commented you can email me your address to mummygadgetgeek at gmail dot com – and don‘t forget to add your post to the blog hop too!
