Surviving SPD – Pregnancy diary week 26
I’ve been lucky so far with this pregnancy, thanks to some antenatal physio, a couple of support belts and trying not to do anything too strenuous but this week hip pain has struck with a vengeance – the SPD is back.
Turning over in bed has become a multi-step mission, making sure my legs are glued together and I’m not jarring anything as I move. Climbing up stairs is leaving me exhausted. Walking around in general I kind of look like my legs are made of jelly and are somewhat disconnected from the rest of me.
I’m hoping that with a bit of rest and some regular baths, I can still keep the pain at a level low enough to allow me to get around and interact with the Wee Man and Bubby D (who seem to have a magnetic attraction to my hips and back, which doesn’t help the problem!). And it’s been nice to have a lot of help from the family over the festive period so I can get my feet up a bit too!
