24 weeks old – watch out, yorkshire!

24 weeks. Almost half a year. That’s how long it’s been since Little B made her entrance into the world, and although it doesn’t seem like a particularly long time in baby terms it really is.

And in the last month especially, she’s been mastering so many new things. Sitting, talking, making her way around the room commando style…

But most recently, at the end of this week, she reminded me of what is coming next.

Sitting on the Other Half’s knee as he ate his roast dinner at a rare ‘out with friends’ Sunday meal, she took advantage of his distraction. One minute, a tasty Yorkshire pudding was lying around on his plate. The next, it was in her mouth and minus a large part of its bottom.

I’m guessing that means she’s about ready to start eating solids.

And from what I remember, ‘Yorkshire pudding’ is not on the list of ‘ideal first foods’…

It may not be a banana. But she was certainly very happy about it – and even the Other Half wasn’t too upset about losing some of his lunch. Although I did notice him closely guarding his meat and peas 😉
