One week til I’m off to Britmums Live – the all about me meme

One week to go until I’ll be packing my bag ready to head off to Britmums Live! I got a ticket as soon as they went on sale last year, so it seems a bit unreal that it has rolled round again and in only a few days time I’ll be learning new skills, rekindling my mojo and hopefully building some new friendships.

But in the meantime, here’s a bit about me to get things going:

Easy, happy feeding in my gorgeous @milkandmummy breastfeeding dress at #britmumslive

Blog: this one here that you’re reading this post on! mummyisagadgetgeek.co.uk

Twitter ID: @mummygadgetgeek

Height: around the 5’3” mark

Hair: A few more shiny silver bits than last year, and I had it cut for the first time in two years a couple of weeks ago too… `

Eyes: Probably covered up by grubbyish glasses. Hopefully less smeared than usual though. KEEP YOUR HAND OFF MY GLASSES!

Is this your first blogging conference? No. But it’s the first one for a while where I haven’t been accompanied by a little person, so I’m expecting it to be quite a different experience.

Are you attending both days? Yes.

What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015? Not having my ankles bitten by a kitten for at least a day (I have not had a chance to read the schedule yet…).

What are you wearing? All I know for sure is I’ll have clean pants on. I’ll give the rest a bit more thought this weekend.

What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2015? Inspiration, ideas, some great new relationships and the chance to build on existing ones. And hopefully, a good night’s sleep!

Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before? Don’t worry about finding a toilet to use, unless you are a man. Because all the mens toilets have screens over the urinals and temporary ladies stuck over the man signs. I’m assuming there is at least one male toilet left for male use somewhere though.

Also, when planning what you’re going to do, factor in three more times the amount of time to get between things than you would originally estimate. It’s REALLY easy to get sidetracked by recognising people, seeing awesome things, stopping to chat to brands or realising that someone has refilled the cake snack table area…
