Review and free printables: Paw Patrol – Pups and the Pirate Treasure

Easter isn’t all about chocolate and bunnies. Well, actually traditionally it’s never been about that has it? A debate for a different day…

But a lot of people DO end up with a lot of chocolate, and sometimes I think it’s nice to get the kids something a bit less sugary to fill their time for two weeks when there’s no school, no preschool, and the weather is a bit iffy.

So good news! There’s a new Paw Patrol DVD hitting the shelves today, and it’s just in time for Easter. Preschoolers and schoolkids who are bouncing off the walls in the Easter holidays will enjoy sitting quietly and watching a small army of dogs bouncing around instead, as they make their way three six all new episodes in PAW PATROL: PUPS AND THE PIRATE TREASURE : setting sail on to DVD on 14th March 2016, the perfect Easter treat!

The kids were a bit bemused by this, as one of the episodes is all about a ghostly pirate ship that the pups have to stop from sailing away. ‘It’s not Halloween Mummy! It’s Easter!’ declared D.

So I explained that ghosts and halloween aren’t mutually exclusive, and that solved that problem.

As usual, all the episodes were very much enjoyed, especially the one with a secret map that leads to some equally secret treasure. Treasure hunts are always a winner. Paw Patrol is always a winner. It’s all good!

For £6.99, it’s the price of an Easter egg but a whole lot less messy – and it’ll probably last longer too…

And in the meantime, I’ve got some free downloadable colouring in sheets that you can print off for the kids to have fun with until the postman arrives…happy colouring!
