Review: My Little Pony – A Canterlot Wedding DVD
‘My Little Pony – A Canterlot Wedding’ arrived through our letterbox and as soon as she saw it, D screamed and said ‘send it back!’.
This is not normal behaviour when confronted with friendly colourful ponies – you can’t go more than a few minutes in our house at the moment without some talk of ‘Pinkie Pie did this’ or ‘Fluttershy said that’. Hence why I am busy crafting a Rainbow Dash cake for a certain girl’s birthday at the weekend!
But A Canterlot Wedding has one ingredient that previous pony escapades have not.
Baddies!

The front cover illustrates the changelings standing behind the usual friendly faces and D wasn’t convinced she wanted to find out what they were up to. Luckily the promise of a mummy hug while we took a peek reassured her all would be ok and we settled down to watch. Turns out hose changelings really are rather naughty: pretending to be the princess and putting Twilight Sparkle’s brother Shining Armour (and the princess’s intended) under a mesmerising spell to draw on the power of his love to create mischief.
Not to worry though. True love triumphs again – and D is back to enthusiastically watching the rest of the episodes without the need for any Mummy reassurance.
With plenty of other adventures there are some great episodes on this DVD, which is lucky as think it’s going to feature heavily in our DVD player for some time to come!
My Little Pony – A Canterlot Wedding is out today (17th August) and costs around £9. And if you’re quick you can get a copy complete with some My Little Pony tattoos – perfect for D’s birthday party 🙂
