Bouncy bouncy fun fun fun

As anyone with a baby will know, babies in general are incredibly fond of bouncing. Usually with big excited grins on their faces.

Whilst the first few times they do it can be incredibly entertaining for whichever adult is holding them up in the optimum bouncing position, after a few hours (they don’t give up easily, babies) you might find your arms are starting to ache just a bit.

And when they have learned the value of ‘the plank’ (think locked knees, and refusal to sit, yet requiring adult support to maintain this position) then you’re really in trouble.

Which is why a Lindam Bounce About could be the answer to your aching arms prayers.

Firstly, the important bit – its been tested to no less than 1 million bounces (presumbably not by an actual baby) so even if you have the bounciest baby in the world I doubt they’ll be smashing that record before they reach the maximum weight of 12kg. Bubby D has tried but so far she’s only up to a few hundred – and enjoying every moment so far with a giant smile as she boings up and down. She loves being able to spin around too and see what I’m up to wherever I am – being in the doorframe means she can see into the hallway and the front room at once, without needing to be moved around by an adult.

The Bounce About will fit easily onto any standard sized doorframe, and (once you’ve put it together, a process which is remarkably simple) although you may feel a bit like you’re holding a very snappy crocodile as you try and prise the clippy top bit apart to hook it up there, on the plus side at least you know its secure. The Wee Man thought it was pretty hilarious watching me try and get it hooked on as I don’t have the strongest of hands, but for those of you who are a bit taller and have hands that work, you probably wont look quite so silly.

Bounce about ready for action

The bit that Bubby D sits in is well padded and easy to secure – it’s a bit difficult to get her in and out of if she is standing up, but I’ve found if I sit a kitchen chair underneath the bouncer and put her in it whilst she is on my lap it makes things a whole lot simpler. With minimal fuss, Bubby D is buckled in and ready to bounce – it’s a bit like holding a lit firework and waiting for it to go off!

Happily bouncing baby

The seat is fully machine washable, the supportiveness helps your little one maintain correct posture, and it’s height adjustable so even the smallest baby can get bouncing. So as long as you can prise apart the crocodile jaws, and they can support their own head, then let the bouncing commence!
