Mamas and Papas – with a new colourful twist
Anyone who knows me is probably aware that I’m not generally too fussed about my own attire. I’m pretty comfortable in my standard uniform of jeans, t-shirt, cardigan or hoody and some kind of trainer or sneaker.
Despite that, I do love getting clothes for the kids. They’re generally much more interesting than adult clothes, and come in a whole range of fantastic bright colours and designs. And whilst I don’t have much cash for clothing of my own, I don’t mind spending out a bit on quality clothes for the kids since they’re generally cheaper than mine thanks to the lack of VAT – plus the kids are a lot bit more mucky, crawly and rough and tumble than me meaning they need more hard wearing clothes than I do (and more options for outfit changes too!).
Today we were lucky enough to be invited along to see the launch of the Autumn/Winter 13 range from Mamas and Papas, and I’ve already singled out some of the outfits we saw to go on our next ‘clothing must haves’ list. Previously, this wouldn’t have been possible, since their clothing always stopped at 2 years before. But happily for us, the age range has been extended and the new mix and match range now caters for kids up to age 6. Great news for me, bad news for my wallet…although not as bad as you might think, since the whole range is permanently ‘3 for 2’, and very reasonably individually priced too.
So come Winter, you may well see the Wee Man kitted out in these:
and Bubby D, not to be left out, is likely to be sporting a few of these little numbers that we really fell in love with:
In fact, Bubby D is in luck because unlike the Wee Man, who is 4 in August, she has the whole Limited and Fashion ranges available in her size as well – they’ve been extended and now come in sizes 0-4. For girls, next season’s fashion range has four separate mini themes as part of the collection, with something to suit every taste. The Limited collection has some lovely colourful pieces as well – just what we’ll be needing to brighten up gloomy winter days.
Even the Welcome to the World collection has got a bit bolder this time round, with the addition of some more colourful pieces alongside the usual muted tones. Enough to make you want another little one! Well, maybe…
…but for now, Bubby D is happy in her current Mamas and Papas summer dress. Now we just need some sun to go with it!
