Moving on up

Bubby D came home with some exciting news yesterday.

The nursery have told her (us) that from next Monday, she will be a Bud!

Not literally of course. But like most nurseries, they have various different rooms for different ages, and they are named on a size graduating scale.

So at the moment, she is a Seed – the smallest of the small. And the biggest – well they are Blooms.

But that’s a way off yet!

Being a Bud is a pretty big step for a little person – it means a whole new room with lots more interesting toys and activities, books and role play opportunities – all designed for stimulating her incredibly inquisitive mind. In the last couple of months I have noticed a huge change with how much she is talking, how much she is learning, and the things she can do – and I think moving to the Buds room will really be good for her. She’s certainly tried to join the Buds of her own volition enough times in the past few weeks, trying to walk towards it when we arrive and having to be steered in the direction of the Seeds. I can’t wait to see how pleased she is when she actually gets to go there on Monday…

My little girl is growing up! It’s kind of strange, but also very exciting!
