The EEK! geek last minute online shopping gift guide for everyone
It’s Monday. And it’s nearly Christmas!
With only a couple of days to go before everything needs to be under the tree, it’s tempting to start pulling your hair out in dismay when you realise you’ve forgotten to buy and all important gift or two.But luckily, my favourite go-to store Amazon are still dashing around sorting out deliveries – and that means you can let go of your hair, pick up your computer and get ordering online instead. And to help even further, here are some of my favourite gifts you can order today and receive tomorrow:
Give someone their very own castle, in cake form! Or at least the abilty to make one, anyway. I saw these in Norway last year but now I don’t need to go nearly as far to get one – and you could always add a bit more of a personal touch by making a little bag of cake ingredients to go with it 🙂
These interactive tracks and vehicles are very popular with toddlers and preschoolers. I suspect there MAY be some toot tooting going on in our house this Christmas 😉
This is a great family friendly tablet at a reasonable price. Whether it’s for everyone, or a specific someone there are options to tailor it to suit just about any age, with multiple user-friendly profiles available too.
Energenie Remote Control Sockets
Give the gift of laziness with these remote operated plug sockets – switch the tree lights on and off, fire up the coffee maker, set the stereo to blast out some festive tunes…all from the comfort of your armchair and sound in the knowledge that you are saving on your energy bills too.
Get her to do your googling for you, and then share what she’s found in her strangely scary voice. (It does grow on you though). Plus you can brush her hair. Or your child can brush her hair. It’s quite soothing actually.
Our marble run has to be one of the best things we’ve ever bought, kids and adults alike all enjoy seeing who can make the best run and win the marble race.
Great for kids and parents – kids love the soft glow and the responsibility of their own clock. And parents love getting a better night’s sleep!
Take some perfect pictures of Christmas Dinner with this clever little tripod. It can be used with compact cameras and DSLR’s too.
Sprinkles are great anyway, but they’re even better when they’ve come out of a unicorn’s bottom!
I know my Other Half would be pleased if one of these turned up under the tree. It’s not cheap (around £70) but it promises hours of fun for adults and/or older children.

It’s meant to be for pets, and if you have one then awesome! They’ll be pleased. If not, then you can use it for all kinds of fun and games yourself – draw on it with glitter glue, choose your allegiance and decorate it like something from Winterfell or Kings Landing, stick some figures made out of pinecones in it…the possibilities are endless.
Ever wanted a reflective dog/cat/horse…? Well now you can have one. Or at least, the ability to make your existing one reflective. You can’t actually buy the pets online.
A great selection of child-friendly makeup, and of course it’s Frozen themed. Bubby D loved this for her birthday and we ended up with some very artistic results!
It’s gin, and it’s Christmas puddingy. Speaks for itself really.
Giving you POWER. Over your gadgets, anyway.
Go a bit retro and capture some instant silly shots to stick on the fridge. I loved my instax camera when I was a teenager and equally I would love one of these now.
It has up to 18 hours of battery life, and it’s self standing – great for watching movies or reading and it can even charge other gadgets for you too with it’s micro-usb on-the-go function.
Instant maintenance of cool white wine. Which would be great in houses like ours where the fridge is full to busting with other Christmas stuff and the wine all gets booted out.
