Juggling three small kids, training, two jobs and a blog…it’s pretty hectic really. Multitasking is my friend. And having a way to keep the kid amused when they’re all clamouring for attention that I don’t have the physical ability to give is important too. The reality is that work needs to be done, driving needs to happen sometimes, and Little B – despite her short but frequent bids for indpendence – still needs a large proportion of my individual attention a lot too.So having the Vodafone Smart Tab 4G (complete with NOW TV entertainment pass and Sky Movies pass) hanging around is fantastic.
A few taps and the kids are out of their ‘I’m excited, but tired, it’s nearly Christmas and I’m bouncing off the walls’ state and into ‘I’m happy and I’m watching Paw Patrol in the car’ state instead.
The super fast 4G connection means that it’s quick and simple to find a programme they want to watch, and since the NOW TV app is mainly searchable pictorially (meaning they can operate it themselves) I don’t get that ‘mum, muum, muuuuuuuuuum!’ screech emanating from the back of the car two minutes after we get onto the motorway because they’ve decided they want to watch something else. And having a nice clear 8 inch screen, it’s big enough for the Wee Man and Bubby D to watch together too.
There is a huge choice of things on offer to watch – I’ve had a sneaky view of the Wolf of Wall Street while they were asleep and they were amazed to see the new Toy Story That Time Forgot; and with the great battery life of the Smart Tab 4G it hasn’t mattered if I forget to plug it in to charge in between times either.
And when I’m not using it to watch TV, I can use it to check my emails, catch up on Instagram, surf the web or even write this blog post!
