Galentine’s Day with L.O.L. Surprise Confetti Pop
The clue is in the name – L.O.L. Surprise! dolls are, as you might expect, somewhat surprising.
The level of surprise seems to directly correlate to age, meaning that the younger you are, the more surprising and exciting you’ll find them.
D is six, and therefore the excitement and surprise levels are very high. D’s best friend is also six, and equally excited by such things.
It is therefore no surprise that when D decided to give her BFF a L.O.L. Surprise! doll (as well as a L.O.L. Little Sister, and a BFF card) for what is apparently now known as ‘Galentine’s Day’, there was HUGE excitement.
Even more so because the L.O.L. Surprise! Doll in question is of the Series 3 Confetti Pop (R.R.P. £10.99) persuasion, which means it is new to the market, and EVEN MORE SURPRISING.
Yep. It has 9 surprises instead of the usual 7, and a different unwrapping mechanism to what you may have seen before, if you’ve made a habit of being surprised by dolls wrapped up in plastic balls.
The 9 levels of surprise include:
- A clue which suggests which of the 35+ dolls you are likely to find inside
- Stickers
- A temporary ring tattoo
- A milk bottle
- Shoes
- An outfit
- An accessory
- a POP
- And of course the doll herself
Whilst the clue, stickers, and tattoo are included within the external wrapping, the same as you’d find with previous L.O.L. Surprise! series, that’s where the similarity ends. Once the ball is fully unwrapped the top of the ball spins to reveal a number of different compartments, each containing a different blind bag surprise.
The final compartment also houses a zip, which when pulled creates the POP and spews confetti everywhere, as well as releasing the doll.
Just like with previous series’, there are L.O.L. Little Sisters (R.R.P. £5.99) to go along with the larger L.O.L. Surprise! options, with a total of five surprises to discover as you unwrap them.
I’m pretty sure life will continue to be surprising around here as D is already saving up for another L.O.L. Surprise! Confetti Pop to unwrap, as is her little sister (who loves the fact that you can get Little Sister dolls). They’re out in the shops now, although if previous experience is anything to go by, there won’t be many left on the shelves within a day or two.
Happy Galentines Day!
Disclosure: much to her extreme delight, D was sent two L.O.L. Surprise! Confetti Pop dolls, two L.O.L. Little Sisters, and a personalisable card, in order to be able to surprise and delight her BFF and also enjoy unwrapping a couple of things herself. Despite this all words are my own and all expressions are hers. Thanks L.O.L. Surprise! 🙂
