Living Arrows 12/52

I can hardly believe it, but this week is the week our baby becomes a one year old.

And alongside that, she’s been growing up fast – moving on from the days of babyhood and becoming far more interested in everything. If the other kids are doing something, then she wants to be involved too – and she’s developed a squeal that lets us know if she isn’t getting what she wants!

I took her (along with big brother) on an aeroplane to see our friends and she was so intrigued by everything going on that she refused to nap for the entire trip. It was my first lone trip on a plane with kids and so I was quite nervous – I’m definitely glad that it wasn’t a longer flight as both of them were getting just a bit too excitable by the end…

S has spent the last week trying to master skills he couldn’t quite get the hang of before. He’s never been able to do monkey bars, and he’s found pedalling a bike quite tough too – but this week he’s really started to get the hang of both, after practicing a lot. He’s very pleased with himself; we are very proud of him too.

And D has been getting more grown up with every passing day. She seems to have shaken off all previous traces of preschoolerhood and is turning into a proper little girl now. I’ve had to go through her wardrobe and remove all the now-too-short leggings and tops as she’s had a pretty big growth spurt seemingly overnight. Always a bit scary as she’s quite particular about her clothes, but luckily she really loves her new things, especially her new sunhat!
