Mothercare at the Baby Show
When I was first pregnant with the Wee Man there were two places I went to visit to get an idea of what I might need for a baby – the local branch of Mothercare, and the Baby Show.
Turns out I needn’t have separated the two, because Mothercare were AT the Baby Show – and this year just like every other is no exception. Mothercare and 50 of their most dedicated staff will be there on stand A1, armed with answers to every baby question you can think of, measuring tapes for bra fittings, and a great session and advice on fitting car seats (you can catch the Carseat Q&A on the main stage at 3pm, if you are visiting on Friday 21st).
Car seats aren’t the only thing that’ll be gracing the stage from Mothercare. Throughout the show there will also be events showcasing their Blooming Marvellous maternity range, childrenswear (Little Bird, BabyK and Mothercare all included), and Clarks spring handbags and women’s shoes. I remember watching the fashion show at the very first Baby Show I went to and getting some great inspiration for dressing myself and the Wee Man comfortably and cost effectively!
Something is a bit different at this Baby Show too, because Mothercare are launching their brand new initiative, MyMothercare. It’s a rewards club offering 20% off toys on your child’s next birthday, exclusive vouchers, sneak sales previews and exclusive vouchers. We are big fans of Mothercare – I am busy looking through the new Little Bird range right now to find a great unisex outfit for Pippin – and I know this is definitely something we’ll be signing up for!
Plus, there is a competition to win an Xpedior Pushchair every day of the Show – and 10% off absolutely everything, even existing offers.
And finally, something that the Wee Man and Bubby D are very excited about, there will be a selection of Early Learning Centre toys available on the stand – as well as visits from the Happyland Fairy Godmother.
So a visit to stand A1 is definitely at the top of our list, as well as the chance to take in all the other things on offer – I know I’ll be making use of the free crèche and I’d quite like to have a sneaky sit down on the comfy chairs in the breastfeeding area too, I could happily have a lovely nap in one of those (and I know from previous experience it’ll probably be well needed – there is so much to see and do and so many great bargains to be had that it’s bound to be a fun filled but tiring day…). Thank goodness for the Emma’s Diary Shop and Drop and Collect by Car service – I have a feeling we’ll be needing it!
