Num Noms do Pancake Day #NumNomsFoodie

numnomsfoodie 1 (640x422)

Pancake Day is upon us! And the #NumNomsFoodie challenge has inspired us to get a bit more creative this year. Not that there’s anything wrong with lemon and sugar…actually I really like lemon and sugar – but the kids do not. So I handed them some NumNom inspiration and they got thinking.

If you’re wondering what on earth NumNoms even are, anyway, then let me explain. They’re all food inspired little rubbery creatures with friendly faces, and a scent reminiscent of whatever they are named after. The Nums are the bigger ones, and they fit on top of the Noms, who come in three different varieties for the brand new Series 3 collection – lip gloss, stamper, or eraser. The lip gloss duos come in some interesting new flavours too,  with Straw-Nana, Peachy Pina and Mintberry being just some of the flavours you may find sitting inside your little squash carton.

There are also limited editions, and NumNoms Lights (so named because they light up!) – which are my personal favourite, I’d quite like some to use instead of candles in my bathroom…

Series 3 has nine new collections, including Glazed Donuts and Hard Candy, which D has unboxed here:

Marshmallows, Fruits, Veggies, and Fiesta Foods are also involved,  and it all sounds good to me as long as there isn’t a Marmite one.

You can get #NumNomsFoodie Series 3 Mystery Pots (a Num and a Nom), Starter Packs, Lunch Box Deluxe Packs (great for storing NumNoms in too), Surprise in a Jar, a Truck Playset and an Art Cart – all things that really appeal to D.

Anyway, with the NumNoms she got in her starter packs, here’s what she came up with:

First off, D made a donut inspired creation, with some added vanilla ice cream…glazed donut numnoms stamper

And then D created a Hard Candy inspired pancake, with chocolate sauce, swizzels matlow sweeties, and some popping candy. I think it’s safe to say that was her favourite one:

Whether you want NumNoms for pancakes or not, you can pick them up in Toys R Us, Smyths, The Entertainer, and all other useful toy stores. What flavour would you make?
