App-solutely fabulous

Over the last few years, with new technology becoming available all the time, life has changed dramatically. For a busy mum-of-two who is all in favour of time saving gadgets, the changes are generally for the better.

Self service checkouts in supermarkets for example. Apart from the crazy one in Morrisons that keeps telling me I have a bagging error and declining every card I try (I may be a skint mummy-on-maternity-leave but not so skint the bank will refuse my requests just yet) I think they are marvellous. Not only can I bag my shopping at a speed that works for me, but the Wee Man can also ‘help’, putting 2p’s in the money slot and grabbing the receipt as it shoots out – he loves it!

In a similar vein, I was extremely happy when eBay and Amazon apps appeared for use on my iPhone. As a prolific internet shopper always after the best deals, being able to access my favourite online shopping portals from my phone was (and still is) a fantastic and time-saving idea.

Now, there is a new app available that has great time saving potential – Simply Tap. They say that:

Sounds good to me, so I thought I’d give it a try…

App added, I tapped and I was in.

The first time you use it, there is a simple registration process where you enter all your details. You only have to do it the first time you use the app. I was very impressed by the smoothness and ease of adding my information, and the whole process only took me a couple of minutes.

Then let the shopping commence! There are currently some great deals for first time users such as £10 off computer games, and £10 off £15 worth of chocolate from Thorntons. Liking both chocolate and computer games, this would have been a hard choice for me, but since we already own the computer game, I decided on chocolate. (Not that you HAVE to take up one of the offers, but…£15 worth of chocolate for £5? Its just got to be done!)

And with all my details already added, all I had to do was ‘simply tap’. Voila! Chocolates on their way 🙂
