Time to make the Games happen
Things have been a little quiet on the blogging front lately – and that’s because I’m busy being a Games Maker at the Olympic Park!
It’s been an amazing experience do far working right in the thick of things, and even though the shifts are 11 hours long I’m enjoying every minute.
I’d love to be able to bring the family in with me – there is do much to see and do and the park is all very pushchair friendly, with pushchair parks in all the venues and baby changing services too. There is also a great Games Mobility service with golf buggies for carrying around anyone with tired little legs! (and those with tired big legs, if you happen to have an accompanying bump or pair of crutches). Unfortunately without tickets they can’t accompany me but I’ve been able to book for the Paralympic Swimming – cant wait to see inside the Aquatics Centre which looks fantastic just from the outside.
It’s hard to believe that in just over a week the Olympics will be over but for now I’m making the most of it, enjoying making new friends, chatting to people from all over the world and just being part of a once in a lifetime experience 🙂
