What are little boys made of?
Looking at the Wee Man lately, you might be forgiven for thinking they contain quite a high proportion of snot.
In regard to slugs, snails and puppy dogs tails however, you are much more likely to find them along the road (well…slugs and snails anyway. I’ve not seen any puppy dog tails, other than one earlier today which was still attached to the puppy – does that count?)
This phenomenon makes our morning walk to the tube station far more entertaining than usual.
Shrieks of ‘SLUG, eeeeek!’ and ‘a SNAAAAILLL, a SNAIILLLLLL’ can be heard in the neighbouring villages, I’d wager.
I used to keep pet snails when I was a child, but I’ve never been too keen on slugs. These days I especially don’t like them as they seem to sneak in through the cat flap fairly often and lie in wait for me to tread on them barefoot at the bottom of the stairs as I stagger down them in the morning, glasses-less and bleary eyed. Not the ideal way to start the morning.
I suppose this is a bit strange, as snails are essentially slugs, except with a little shell on top.
Perhaps I should start gluing shells to slugs.
