What we wore – the kids holiday wardrobe
No denying it, Wales is often wet.
And sometimes, it has sunny spells too.
Which presents the need for a versatile holiday wardrobe – with some warm bits, some cool bits, and some adjustable add-or-remove layers bits to bring it all together.
Here are some of the things that the Wee Man and Bubby D chose:

This is one of Bubby D’s favourites, whether she is on holiday or not. We love the bright happy colours and the rainbow – usually it’s teamed with her denim skirt (Also from Little Bird – we love the whole collection!) with a rainbow waistband but on this occasion that had been removed for paddling!
With its bold, bright bird prints it really stands out and it’s lovely and flowy, keeping Bubby D cool when the sun is out. She loves dresses with big long skirts that she can swoosh around, and I like the fact that it’ll probably still fit her next summer too!

Perfect for an afternoon exploring the countryside, this simple dress was homemade for Bubby D by Grandee. The blue and white polka dots are set off perfectly by some small red piping around the collar and waist. I’ll be getting the pattern so I can make some more!

On days when there was a bit more of a chill in the air, the Wee Man loved grabbing his yellow jumper. It’s really nice and bright, even after several washes, and brightens up even dull cloudy days giving them more of a holiday feel.
He always has great fun in his Penguin boots too – they’re actually from the Christmas range but Wee Man likes them so much he wears them all year round.

This is another great dress from ASDA that Bubby D loves – its shorter than the other one with a more simple A line shape, really good for casual playing in the sun.
The Wee Man really likes his NEXT giraffe with sunglasses, and I really like that he’s had it several months and its still in great condition – it washes really well. Which means we weren’t worried at all about it being covered in mud, sand and ice cream, lucky really!

It’s more of a party dress but Bubby D likes to wear it on days out. Plus, it’s great for using as an impromptu hat for the Other Half!

And finally, a hard wearing corduroy dungaree dress in a lovely bright pink colour from Me&I, which can be layered over a short or long sleeved vest and worn with or without the funky zebra striped tights. This makes it a lovely versatile dress, suitable for warm or chilly days, and great for rough and tumble play or smarter occasions too. The dress has a little zebra motif on one side which ties the whole thing together, but equally it can be worn with plain coloured vests or t shirts too and still looks lovely.
Lots of lovely summer clothes for lovely summer fun – and they certainly did have a lot of fun while they were wearing them!
