Topsy Turvy Trifle

This dessert takes the concept of trifle and makes it into a delicious dessert that kids can have fun assembling themselves. We use raspberry delight instead of cream to make it a more child friendly flavour (ours don’t like cream) but you could use cream if preferred.

Ingredients:

• 1 packet jelly, made up according to instructions
• 1 packet raspberry delight made up according to instructions
• 1 carton ready made custard
• 1 packet basic sponge cake mix, baked and crumbled into large pieces
• fresh raspberries

Method:

Place ingredients into separate bowls. Place on table in front of kids, who are each given an empty bowl and a spoon. Demonstrate the adult ideal construction of dessert. Watch as they completely ignore you and create their own trifley works of art.
