How long have you been blogging and what made you start?

Since 2001, although it wasn’t really called blogging then. This blog has been around for about six years. For me, it’s always just been a way to get stuff out of my brain, and to keep in touch with people. Now it’s also about sharing my love of gadgets and tech with others, and keeping my brain in gear.

What was the inspiration behind your blog name?

I’m a mum, I have a thing about gadgets. Job done.

What is the best thing to come from your blog so far?

The opportunity to get to know so many wonderful people I would never have otherwise met.

Your most remembered thing from your childhood

The porridge bush in the back garden.

Basically, my sister and I weren’t always keen on eating our porridge – so as soon as we had the opportunity, one or the other of us would dash to the back door and fling the offending porridge behind the bush. We did that for years. My mum never realised.

Something interesting you might not know about me is…

Which social media platform best describes your personality and why?

Twitter. It’s fleeting and it’s random and sometimes makes no sense. But also very eloquent at times.

What is your happy song?

Right now, Jace Everett – Bad Things.

What is your favourite alcoholic drink

The cake is a lie.

What is your favourite takeaway dish?

Sag aloo, every time. I’ve tried several times to recreate it but it’s impossible to get it exactly like the curry place up the road.

Where is your dream holiday destination and why?

There are so many places I’ve not yet seen and I’d love to. But I guess, knowing that it was breathtakingly magnificent, I’d like to go back to Australia and explore some more.

What would your superhero name be?

I already have one, and it’s SpoonPaws.

If you had a magical power, would you want to have and why?

Teleportation. Being able to be instantly anywhere would be awesome! And it would save me a lot of money on tube fares.

What one weapon would help you survive a zombie apocalypse?

Pretty sure I’d be an early adopter of zombieism – but if I had to fight then a massive (but lightweight) shiny sword is the way to go. Until I inevitably chop my own legs off or something, anyway.

If you could send something into space, what would it be?

The USS Enterprise.

What would you have on your gravestone?

Nothing. I’m gonna be a zombie, undead forever.

You make headline news around the world in 2 years time… but for what reason?

‘Random zombie chops off legs in freak sword accident, whilst distracted watching launch of USS Enterprise’

If an EMP wiped out all mechanical forms of transport, how would you get to BlogOn?

I’m thinking dragon. Seems they’re kind of difficult to track down though. I’ll keep looking.
