Gold Pushchair! Britax BOB Revolution Pro wins the 2014 Men’s Running Awards
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the BOB Revolution Pro, and how we found it as a family.
Now, I’m not a man and I don’t do running – but I happen to know someone who is, and does.
So I asked him if he’d like to give it a try.
And as it happens, lots of men having been giving the BOB Revolution Pro a try – and now it’s official: it’s an award winning pushchair, bringing home the Gold for best Running Buggy in the prestigious 2014 Men’s Running Magazine Awards.
The BOB Revolution Pro is the first pushchair with a swivel wheel that is safe and approved for running and skating in the U.K. and Europe. The swivel wheel means not only can running men enjoy it, but also walking-fairly-fast ladies such as myself. Although the back wheels are on the large size, it’s surprisingly manouvreable even in tight spaces. And if you do happen to favour running over shopping, the large polymer composite wheels and adjustable suspension system ensure a smooth ride whatever the terrain. The drum handbrake also gives additional breaking assistance, perfect for when you’re running down hills or stopping suddenly in a crowd of excited saturday shoppers!
Bengi Bingol Yalcin, UK Marketing Manager at Britax is pretty pleased about the win, saying: “The award win is a fantastic result for us and a real testament to the Revolution PRO. Our ethos here at Britax is all about enabling families to discover everyday freedom and the Revolution PRO is an outstanding example of this, enabling parents to stay active and include their children into their daily adventures too.”
I’d say he’s pretty spot on. My kids certainly enjoy getting around in it, and so do the children of my running man friend, judging by the photo above 😉
